The tags displayed on your chart represent the Support (S) and Resistance (R) price pivots, with the lower-numbered pivots being more recent and the higher-numbered pivots being in the past. For instance, R1 is the most recent resistance price pivot, and S1 is the most recent support price pivot. These are in no way related to the commonly-referred to "day trader pivots" R1, S1 etc that are calculated from yesterday's OHLC data. In Saturday's class Doc will teach how to show how these pivots determine the current trend, and what price levels (pivots) would have to be "broken" in order to generate a signal. He will also show you how to "fine tune" the study to optimize the pivot detection.
